We All Loved The Fifth Dimension Concert
at Deanfest 6-3-2005
There was a three-day weekender in Marion, Indiana in June 2005 to mark the 50th anniversary of the death of James Dean. Several pop music concerts were offered, including Herman’s Hermits, 1964 (a Beatles Tribute show,) and the Fifth Dimension. I was lucky enough to be able to photograph the rousing performance. I’ve never seen a better group! Always loved their songs, and now I can see them in my mind whenever I hum. Thank you, Florence LaRue (original member), Lamonte McLemore (original member), Phyllis Battle, Greg Walker, Willie Williams and the super supporting instrumental band members (who also sang backup.) When the stars lured audience members onto the stage to dance and sing, RANDY JUAREZ of Muncie, Indiana, almost stole the show. He and his wife, shown here, had the most fun you can have at a concert.
I knew I was doing something right when we ordered ribs from Robert Barber of Eleven 11 Eleven LLC, Marion, Indiana. and the Fifth Dimension got ribs there too. No photo, but look for his trailer at any Grant County festivity. Hire him to cater your party, wedding, graduation, christening, reunion or whatever! Good food!
