Gas City James Dean Memorial Gallery Is Closed
Farewell, beautiful Gallery. You are now a beautiful Convention center for Grant County, Indiana.
You’ll see proms and family reunions, weddings and meetings, and things that haven’t even been invented yet. The spirit of James Dean will watch over everyone.
David Loehr, Tinka Bach of the Fairmount State Bank, Dr. B.D. Patel of Marion, Indiana, and Lenny from Rebel, Rebel.
The collection belongs to David Loehr. Lenny’s store /lenny/index.html now occupies the former Fairmount Gallery building.
Life-long dreams do come true.David, Dr. Patel, and Lenny with Pam Crawford of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Pam is President of James Dean Remembered, the fan club, as well as
editor of the Dean Zine, the finest fan club zine in the world. (Link at bottom of page.)
Brenda and Jessie handled the gift shop as Teresita shopped.
Brian Hatton’s replica of James Dean’s Porsche Spyder is on loan from Brian himself. There are many photos of the crash site, the car, and the road where Jimmy died. We thank the Hattons for this kindness. This big display is at the back wall of the museum. Brian’s family graces this photo.
