Welcome to Arnolds! Eat outside under the canopy or at picnic tables, when the weather permits, listening to the 50’s music, or eat inside to enjoy all the extra memorabilia. Music inside too, as well as videos of 1950s and 1960s shows all the time.

Elvis weekend!  August 13, 7:30 to 9:30 pm, outdoor concert starring Joe Church who placed third in this year’s Bear Creek Farms Elvis Extravaganza. You’ll love Joe. Bring a lawn chair, er, an asphalt chair for the parking lot.

Arnold’s hours may possibly be Monday thru Saturday 10:30 a.m. to around 10 or 11 p.m. (Sunday opens at 11:00 a.m.) You should phone in to verify the hours.

Arnold’s is a great place for the whole family, including the Dilley sextuplets shown here in 1999. In 2008, ABC  stopped by to film the Dilleys again here at Arnolds, footage to be included in the next Dianne Sawyer presentation on the Dilleys.  We are so lucky to have them living here.

Arnolds is owned by Lori Collier.  The building used to be a Penguin Point restaurant owned by her grandparents. (In response to your questions, the Penguin Point chain does not serve Penguin Burgers. It serves fried chicken, [mmmm, tastes like….penguin?] and sandwiches, ice cream treats, etc.)
Lori has made quite a few changes!  See parts of her menu on www.tentativetimes.net/arnolds/menu1.html
and see a retrospective of the 2004 big Car Show at Arnolds starting on www.tentativetimes.net/arnolds/arncars.html

Magdalen Leonardo came from New York, and Neil Douglas (website at www.neildouglas.com ) came from Bristol, England for a soda and a breaded tenderloin at Arnold’s. They said it was well worth the trip! Update: Neil is now in London.  He graduated with honors from the University  and is painting and exhibiting in London these days. Magdalen is teaching school out west!

All the waitresses are dressed just right, and they are bundles of energy, cheerful and helpful. In the winter you eat inside, but in better weather the curb service rocks. Music all the time, inside and out. Rock on!

Lori sometimes can take a quick break from the kitchen to visit with friends and family. Here she is with a legendary Decatur, Indiana basketball player who made it big time.

He’s Irv Inniger who played on three straight sectional championship teams, 1961, ’62 and ’63, for the Berne Bears. He was recruited by Bob Dro to play at Indiana University in Bloomington.  The Hoosiers won the Big Ten title his senior year.

Irv was head coach at North Dakota State for 14 years, where he had more wins than any other coach.  He is now the Athletic Director for North Dakota State.
